Developer: Steven Tu (Twoplus Games)

This game works a little bit like Tetris; except that you can place blocks anywhere they can fit and at your leisure; there is no gravity. And you have to match arbitrary shapes instead of rows.

Steven says:

I continue to experiment with Tetrominos – that is, Tetris blocks. This game is a bit like a crossword puzzle in that you’re looking for something in a bunch of stuff, but at the same time you’re creating stuff. It also lets you play at your own pace, so you can spend as much or as little time working out the permutations as you want.

Influences for this are Nintendo handheld classic Picross and the recent hit Threes 🙂
