Day 14 Game 14: 30 games in 30 days using Grids for GameMaker

CLICK HERE TO PLAY GAME 14

This is what Grids did for us today. What can Grids do for you?

Developer: Cukia Kimani and Kevin Marais (Mircosoft AppFactory)

Game 14 is a racing game where instead of controlling your car, you control the environment. Create a safe path for your rally driver!

We spawn a start and end point on the grid and then create a random path between the two cells, which we have the car travel between. We then randomly spawn special cells along that path which act as holes in the road. The aim of the game is to place a ramp in the cell before the hole, so that your driver can ramp over it and reach their destination safely.
