Nosotros vamos a Chile!
Gamelogic is moving to Chile! We’ve been selected as one of the 100 companies to take part in Start-Up Chile’s Generation 11! That means in November this year we’ll be moving to Santiago for 7 months to take part in their program. Start-Up Chile is a…Porting Grids from Unity to GameMaker
When GameMaker announced their Marketplace, we thought it would be a good opportunity to port our Grids plugin for Unity (or at least, a part of it) to GameMaker. Here, I explain some of the issues we encountered in doing the…A few weeks ago we released a new (free!) package on the Unity Asset store. The package contains some extension methods for Unity classes, and a few light-weight utility classes. We have been using the classes in most of our examples, and all 30 Games from our 30 Games in 30 Days project. Because we want to use this library in our other products too, we decided to make it a standalone package that we will give away for free. (The source code is included with all our Grids packages, so if you are a Grids user, you already have it 🙂 For more detail on what is included in the package, see http://gamelogic.co.za/unity-extensions/.
Grids is now available in the Game Maker Marketplace. Grids is a library for Game Maker that allows you to rapidly implement games built on hex grids.

It’s been just over a year since I made the trip from the Mother City (Cape Town) up to the concrete jungle of Johannesburg. This meant trading the relaxed atmosphere of wine farms and the “mountain” with the fast paced,…Grids 1.9
Grids 1.9 is now available in the asset store 🙂 For this most part, this version fixes some bugs and makes a few design tweaks. We are also building a free Unity package with some extension methods and lightweight utility classes.…“Cloudy” noise on a hex grid
This article is about noise that looks somewhat like this: One way to generate noise like that is to add various layers of Perlin noise or smooth noise together, where each layer is more blurry than the next. You can…We added a new example to show how Grids can be used if you use 2D Toolkit for your sprites.
